Little Peak Press publishes and reviews books inspired by time spent in the mountains and other wild lands. A small independent publisher, we make and review books we hope will take you to these places — wherever you happen to be.

Heather Dawe — Founder & Publisher

A writer and artist who also climbs and is an AI expert, Heather founded Little Peak Press in early 2019. Her previously published books include Adventures In Mind and Dreams of Lost Buttresses, which was a finalist in the 2024 Banff Mountain Book Competition. In 2024 Heather took a break from publishing books to focus on her own writing - Think Again: On AI, Mountains and Intuition was published by Rocky Mountain Books in late 2026, and in mid-2026 she signed a contract with the University of Toronto Press for a book that will be published in early 2028.

Relaunching Little Peak Press has been on the cards for quite some time and this will start to happen through 2027. The world isn't getting any less strange and challenging. Books, reading and creative writing are as needed as ever.
